I know I feel this way, it's gotta be all that turkey I ate. I hear turkey makes you tired but I forget why.

According to that, Turkey does not make you tired. Just eating too much. (Which I did)

Happens when you eat duck too. Why it doesn't happen when you eat chicken is beyond me.

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

Thanksgiving Health Risks
By Rich Maloof for MSN Health & Fitness

Tired? Don’t blame the turkey.

There can be many reasons to drift off on Thanksgiving Day, but eating turkey isn’t really one of them. The amino acid L-tryptophan in turkey is popularly cited as a kind of dietary sedative, but nutritionist Samantha Heller lays bare the urban myth.

“L-tryptophan is the chemical precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin, a calming agent in the brain,â€
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

Tryptophan or not, I spent most of yesterday lounging around in a half-coma.

I've never had the post-Thanksgiving coma experience. Perhaps it is because my family tends to eat more reasonable amounts (or because we all have high metabolisms).
