Snoring pets

Postby K. Ayato » Fri Nov 09, 2007 9:35 am

Just curious. Do any of you have a pet that tends to snore? My cat snores almost all the time now. It's annoying beyond belief. She goes from sounding like a vibrating cell phone to making a sound like "Huh" at certain pitches. It really bothers me when I'm in my room and she's on the bed and starts snoring. It's even woken me up late at night! Only way to her to stop is to wake her up. I wonder if they have stuff for pets in order to prevent them from snoring. Probably not, 'cause they have sensitive noses.

Both my pets snore. I'm at college, though. The good news is that I don't have to hear my big, dorky dog snore. The bad news is that I can't hear my adorable kitty snore. It's one of the cutest things EVER.

My dog Cricket whines and barks in her sleep very often.

My dog snores. Really really loudly. It's really deep and rumbling when he inhales but high pitched when he exhales.

My dog snores so loud it's impossible to sleep with her. and she also tends to whine and bark in her sleep also. it's hilarious to watch but not so much when your dead tired and trying to sleep.

My service dog snores (and she does the barking/whining in her sleep sometimes too). What's really funny is when she does this during class. It has made professors and students alike crack up --when she snores, she "chases rabbits."
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

My dog and cats sometime snore really loud.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

My dog Xena used to snore when she was a puppy. Now she makes the occasional "woofs" in her sleep.

my mother in law's red healer puppy rusty does the same thing my husband does...groans instead of snores. Rusty will groan then whine in this high pitched way. I'm used to it now though. ^_^ My dog Yuki will groan occassionaly, but that's typically if I move her so my feet have more room.

my cat does sometimes....it depends on her position when she sleeps. Its very weird.

is snoring bad you think? They are starting to link human snoring to...ummm whats it called.. *snaps fingers* it starts with an "a." GAH I forget anyways they are linking that to health problems in overweight people?

so is it bad for an animal to snore? ._.?

I didn't know of any possible connection to weight and snoring in animals. Is there some valid information regarding it?

Our cat was snoring today, actually, which was unusual becasue she's usually pretty quiet.

My beagle Molly snores occasionally. She has the normal just plain snoring at varying volumes, and then she has her dreaming. My word, that can get annoying. Her legs start twitching like she's chasing something, and she'll start yipping at it in a highish pitch, normally not too loud since her mouth doesn't open very much then, lol, but occasionally she'll get pretty dag close if not equal to her normal barking volume, which is very annoying.
