In the den of evil (viacom)

Postby Bobtheduck » Mon Nov 05, 2007 11:48 pm

My school had a Q&A session with a nickelodeon recruiter today... It was sort of interesting, but it took everything inside me not to go off on her for working for a company like viacom... Of course, I realize she isn't exactly corporate... She's not exactly at the top, you know? The most I did was shake my head and scoff when i found out Atom films was yet another company owned by Viacom... As much as I talk about hating Viacom, I can't take it out on someone who just happens to work for them.

We got to see a couple Nicktoons that hadn't been put out yet, they were pretty funny. I got some general info about internships and the hiring process for the entertainment industry, so it was an ok session, actually... It's just I'll work for Viacom when Hell freezes over. I wish it had been Insomniac, since I'm gonna try for the summer interneship with them.

They've just stepped on a lot of toes, they tried desperately to bring down google and youtube, and with the exception of Nickelodeon, they consistently bring down the standard of television with stuff like MTV... There's more to it, but that's the basics. Oh, and they had my video taken down for no good reason, along with hundreds of others that weren't infringing on their copyrights. There's a lot of stuff, really... I hope Spielberg makes good on his threat to buy dreamworks back, so Dreamworks wont' belong to Viacom anymore...

I rather dislike Viacom as well. They're pretty greedy.

:P, well... we actually had Halliburton come around the physics department... I've heard some pretty raunchy things about them, but I'm not sure if any of its true (checks his window for Dick Cheney in a ninja suit... turns out, he's out there... despite not knowing whether or not he likes Cheney... Pascal invites him in just to ask how he got in the ninja bussiness :P... and what he's doing outside his window. Turns out... it's for excercise... who knew that being a ninja was good for cardiovascular health O_o. And he was just dropping by to see if Pascal had any sugar he could borrow for his coffee.) (Just trying to make a joke out of the thing and difuse any form of outright silly political commentary that could result... please keep all political views to PM)

And thank you for not dividing me by zero,
Pascal
