Prayer for my parents dog Suki

Postby bakura_fan » Sat Nov 03, 2007 9:15 pm

For anyone who remembers, Suki is my parents little black and white pomeranian (who even had her own fan club on here for awhile). Well, she's been sick a long time. She is roughly 3-4 years old. Well after this latest trip to the vet, they determined she has food allergies. :( This means that she may not really be able to eat anything depending on what she is allergic to. Please pray for God to heal her. My parents have already spent so many vet bills (that turned up empty), I'm just afraid this might be another dead end. So yeah, jsut pray for her.

We will be praying for Suki, my wife is the biggest dog nut in this world. Besides, all animals are God's creation and we need to love them as much as He does. *hug*

Aww, an old friend of mine had a pomeranian a long time ago. They're so cute.

I'll be praying.

Wow, I know how they feel. My service dog has allergies too --itchy skin and recurring ear problems --I think it may be food related too. I am switching her food (still same brand, but different formula) to see if that helps.

Maybe your parents can switch Suki's food to one that is all-natural to help rule out ingredients that could be causing her allergies.

For example, Pebbles (my service dog) is currently eating Wellness Super5Mix Chicken --but her allergy symptoms are still going haywire --she currently has her 3rd ear infection since the semester began.

So I am switching Pebbles to Wellness Fish and Sweet Potato. The website said it's better suited for dogs who have recurrent/constant allergies.

http://www.waggintails.com is a good website for all-natural dog food. Maybe your parents can try a new food? That way they can hopefully find a food Suki can eat. Just remember when switching food to do it slowly. My trainer says to increase the new food in 1/4 cup increments each feeding (my dog eats 2 cups twice a day and is a Lab, so I'm not sure how much a Pomeranian eats.)

Hang in there. It may take some trial and error, but I'm sure you guys will find a combination of food/meds to give Suki a comfortable life.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
