Well, it's all right that you made a thread, no probs there...but your use of the Lord's name in that particular light is bound to offend some people.

As for that use of the Lord's name, I don't see anything wrong with it, as it is simply a manner of speaking. It is different if you are taking an oath or something, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

To a lot of people (including myself), to say "by God" is the same as swearing. It has more to do with context than the actual words. I'll concede, it's not the same to everyone, but to me, if you're not directly talking about God in a sentence, then you shouldn't use His name at all.

Getting back on topic, I don't think I ever bid Michael goodbye properly...so farewell and God bless...even though I doubt you'll ever see this.
