Up Chuck?

Postby teen4truth » Thu Oct 11, 2007 3:52 pm

Ok so, I was just wondering, when you throw up, what all exactly comes out? Do the nutrients come out too?

Yeah, random and gross question. I know. But I was curious ^^;

Mostly it's bile, stomach acid, and pretty much everything you ate that day. Plus, it causes you to dehydrate, and lose the nutrients in the food it didn't digest, not to mention damages the throat to no end. Why do you think bulimia is so harmful to those who tend to force themselves to do that...and can lead to death.

And that, my friends, is why Blitz hates puking more than pretty much any other bodily ailment.

Ugh, I hate puking. Possibly because there was one time where I was literally throwing up on-and-off for 4 hours straight. Eventually I was just dry heaving and the only thing that would come out was a little bit of spit.

THE MORE YOU KNOW!!! ;)

Usually having a bad stomach virus, or mild to severe food poisoning can really throw you for a loop I know, I've had both. It's no fun at all.

You know, it's really weird... I haven't thrown up since I was like 8. I have no idea why...

The last time I threw up was when I had food poisoning almost two years ago.

I actually don't mind puking. What I hate is feeling extremely sick for hours and hours before it finally comes up. Throwing up always makes me feel better.

Yeah, I agree. Though I never actually do throw up anymore, so it's really annoying.

Same with me. I don't mind it at all if my stomach is feeling bad, I hope and pray that I will puke. lol The only thing I don't like is the nasty taste afterwards. But I guess that was somthing I should have kept to myself. :forehead:

Whee, let's talk about vomit!
As a housekeeper at a hospital, I've pretty much had to get used to dealing with it. I can now handle pretty much anything I see there, chunder or otherwise.
As for myself, I only honk when I get one of those stomach virus dealies that last about a day or so. The last one of those I had was on Christmas Eve to Christmas Day last year. I woke up feeling rotten, went to work to see if I could make a go of it, was there for an hour, ralphed, staggered home and had myself a merry little Christmas.

Last time I threw up was 1 am monday morning and about every 15 minutes after that...so..since we had to catch an early flight home (6 am) I had a not so fun time. Dropped off rental car...ran to bathroom...took taxi to airport....ran to bathroom....got thru security...ran to bathroom....waited in line to get on plane....ran to bathroom. I finally stopped throwing up when i got on the plane and did my best to sleep. I had to call in sick to work cause I was afraid I'd be doing that all yesterday...so luckily they let me have it off. =_= telling ya...it wasn't fun...at all.

I'm afraid of throwing up... You know, for a certain amount of time, you can't breathe!
Have faith
-From somewhere in the Bible, and I agree with it

-God will only give you what you can take. He will not overwhelm you.
-From somewhere in the Bible

-Your faith becomes stronger when it's tested.
-I saw a Chinese guy with a cross on his restaurant desk in America. That's so cool. You can do that here. Not so much China.

I've recently been learning that I don't need to be "loud and pushy" to Evangelize; just living it out is enough witness. The problem was that I grew up around strong Evangelists (Korean Christians) and they were really into getting people involved and setting out to Evangelize, and me being a a yes-man (or yes woman) I was into trying to convert people.
I've been learning this lesson over the years, but have been trying to be pushy. Now I'm trying to ease off.
