Snowy Mountain Madness

Postby kaji » Fri Mar 12, 2004 8:26 am

Hey every one, I was just wondering what our CAA family liked to do the most on snowy slopes? Those of us who dont have them, just imagine what you would like to do if you could.^^

I live in the NorthEast of the US and love to Ski, ever since 3rd grade when my father took us out to a small local mountain, and litteraly just let us go.

So I guess you can tell where my vote goes, how about you?
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I like snowtubing, so I voted for sledding; however, snowball fighting is my favorite thing to do in the snow. :cool:

I think I would like snowboarding if I took the time to get my balance right. Sadly, I've never been on a snowy mountain :( However there is a large hill that my dad takes us to... which is basically the best you can get in Nebraska!

I like skateboarding better than I like inline skates, so I thing I'd probably like board better than skis. But skis look a lot easier!

ah, snow. . . how I miss it. . . . but that's off topic, I like sliding down the hills on my stomace like penguin! *pictures what I looked like doing it* O.o;;;

Wooh! Go sledding! :thumb:

I'm not much for skiing or snowboarding... the increased chance of breaking a leg (or both) is too daunting for me. Besides, it's rewarding to pull out your sibling's sled from underneath them. ~_^

For some reason I take quite natually to skiing, which is even more surprising considering I was born and raised in the desert.

I chose two skis for me, but the rolling down the hill thing is more likely what would happen. :sweat: Specially since I've only been skiing once and didn't have the confidence to go any farther than the bunny hill. No one forcibly dragged me, so I stayed where I was comfortable most of the time. And then went inside and enjoyed a nice warm drink. :thumb:

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

I was surprised at first due to Australia actually having a mountain range called Snowy Mountains. Because it's the only mountains in Australia that has snow on them. Well, it's the ONLY mountain range in Australia.

Anyway, I like watching snow melt. Really, it's fun. I could sit back and stare at them for rest of eternity.
