Games For Grades?

Talk about anything in here.

As much as i agree with the manager, being an employee of a parent company, he has no right to do that, unless its a company initiative.

If it was his store under his name, then yea, more powa to him.

Anyway, back on subject, if anyone ever got the idea in their head to sue GameStop, they honestly would be within their rights, and they would actually have a fightable case. This could be looked on as a form of discrimination; this guy was asking about information that was, in all honesty, NONE of his business, and denying goods and services based on that.

Got my first call regarding the suspended Manager this morning. We were instructed to send all calls on this concern to our PR department.

*waves hand* Am I even here? Or am I invisible?
Bless me indeed
Open wide my horizons to share your name
Bless me indeed
Let your hand keep me
from harm and pain

What do you mean you had to send your call in?

Meaning we were instructed not to talk about this to people calling in about it. That if people DO call in, we are to write down their name, a way to contact them, and their thoughts about this incident and forward it to our Public Relations department. The gentleman who called in was pretty nice about it, and stated that he would not be doing any business with GS or EBG until this manager was reinstated.

Read about this guy earleir. A discount program for kids with good grades I'd be totally behind, but I think this is the retail industry trying to do a parent's job. Age restrictions are one thing, grade restrictions are another.

I wouldn't deny service to a kid with bad grades... Get no money that way...

You'd feel great if your kid had dyslexia and because of that the best grade he could get was a D and now he can't even get a game he really wanted because he needed a higher grade?
I think it's unfair to those kids who really put their all into getting the highest grade they possibly could and couldn't get an 'A' or whatever grade they needed for the game they really wanted.
We shouldn't just assume everyone gets bad grades because they haven't worked hard enough.
