If it is a bot, it sure is highly selective on who receives a PM and who doesn't.

IF MSP got one with 10,000 posts this doesn't seem to fit your trend at all LOL

I also got one and I have over 1,000 posts so yeah your theory doesn't hold water.

Its probably a person acting like a bot.

Also whoever it may be is probably reading this thread and laughing.

Maybe its a member on the thread who got bored and decided to PM lots of people with a different username just for the heck of it. Just to see what kind of reactions he/she would get.

I have one as well, I know that some people come to CAA because they want a place where they chat without bad language and other immoral behaviors that are considered acceptable on other forums. Because this is a Christian website we filter the riff raff out automatically. Further, being that we're all Christian there is no real use in anyone trying to convert anyone else to Christ so they generally don't have worry about the E-word (It terrifies a lot of people like the plague).

I actually know a Catholic Nun who was also Buhdist but left being a nun (I think you would have to wouldn't you) to become a college professor and now has several degrees even though I'm pretty sure she's still a Christian. That stated, it isn't actually impossible for someone to be both Bhudist and Christian according to her, as one is simply a philosophy (Bhudism) while the other spiritual (Christianty).

It would take a LOT of effort to put out that many PMs though, so he's likely a troll... if not then he's just misdirecting his energy and should post in the Who's who section as an intro. Still, this isn't really a place for debating religion by the rules, so the current actions kinda need to be redirected to other sites, but it's still a cool place to hang out for those who dislike the ill-moral behavior found elsewhere on the web.

I got one too.

I clicked on the link provided, and it looked familiar to me, and after a quick search of my email, I realised I had been sent the same page (actually same contents, but different address) by PM on another forum.

A quick Google search also reveals other forums which have had these same Buddhism-related PM sendings.

The site has been taken down. There's a meesage from "Admin" that the stie has been deleted due to "abuse."

Not sure exactly what that means - whether the owner of the site was the abuser or the abusee.

Seems everyone getting them appear to be in their early teens, to early twenties? I know I still haven't gotten one. And that is perfectly fine with me.

I got one of those PMs from 'buddha' a couple of days ago. Which I thought was rather strange since I hadn't posted or logged in for over a year.

The notification of the PM I received in my email inbox reminded me that the CAA existed. It also convinced me to convert to Bhudism.

(okay, that last part is obviously not true)

Last time I checked, no one in Buddhism hates anyone. I've always had the impression that it's believed that anyone has the capability of achieving nirvana but you're kinda on your own in doing that.

I did not receive the PM but I wouldn't have been bothered by it, either.

I got one too, and asked about it in the Chat room, I was kinda unsettling, but this stuff does happen, we need to pray for them, that they will know the saving power of Christ.

Buddha's been banned. But nevertheless, I'd say continue praying for the person (if they aren't a bot) that they would be saved :thumb:

Even if they were a bot, someone had to set it up for that purpose
