Has anyone else seen this anime before? I saw one episode on the "Extras" section of "Desert Punk" and I fell in love with it instantly! It's so offbeat and cool!

Warning! There is nothing more infectuous than the ending theme for 'Mr. Stain'! They used 'Tandem' by 'Halcali', a Jpop hit from about five years ago.

There is something disturbing about the humor, but in a good way, I guess. My favorite episode is 'The Refrigerator'.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

Agreed, the end theme is great! It really makes you wanna get up and dance! The episode that came on Desert Punk was "The Cassette" and it was really great! And the whole thing is done without the main character (or any character) saying one word!

What's it about?
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

I don't know exactly. I remember getting a Funi dvd from a con and it had the episode "Binoculars". And it's true, no ending theme is more infectious. "Do do do do do doo dadadadada na na na na na na!"

That show definitely gave my fiancee and I "what'th'heck" moments when we found episodes of it on our Samurai Seven dvds.

The episode I saw was the one with Radioboy and Radiogirl! Stain builds this giant robot that won't stop dancing...it was hillarious!

For those who haven't seen it, I think it's best to mention that you need to go in thinking 'Canadian Animation' instead of 'Japanese Animation.' First time I saw it, I seriously though that's what I was looking at. I was surprised to discover it came from Japan.

And for those that aren't familiar with Canadian Animation... Canada seems to be the most common origin for those weird 'short animations' that show up in film festivals and such. Creative, artsy, avant-garde, weird... every description you can think of except 'commercially successful'.

Another example for me of how different tastes can be when it comes to humor, I'm afraid. I didn't find it at all entertaining, but I'm glad it found a target audience.

I got two DVDs of Mr. Stain. It came free at an anime convention after I bought "Wrath of the Dragon". My favorite is the robot one. I also like the long episode with the harmonica.
