The man is a lyrical geniuos, as well as a very talented musician.
Despite headlining his bands, it's not a one-man show - so there's pleanty of fullness to the sound. I think he originally toured as "Steve Taylor and Some Band."
Steve Taylor loves to challange mainstream "we always have" theology, with a flair for the dramatic, if somewhat cynical at times.
Anyway, he's one of my favorite artists, so I would recommend him.
Oh, and for the record: I own a dozen or so albumbs by artists off your list.
