Southern hemisphere members

(As prompted by the "How has your summer been?" and "When does school start?" threads.. )

How many people here are from the southern hemisphere? I feel we are greatly outnumbered. But I've made a thread just to confirm that.

(On a side note, recently on Wikipedia I read such-and-such movie was being released in "autumn 2007"... hello? WORLD wide web? :P )

I feel the same way about my left-handedness sometime, only I'd wager there are more lefties than folks in the Southern Hemisphere. I'd also wager that the percentage of over-all CAAer's in the SH is greater than the over-all percentage of world population in the SH, if that makes you feel better.

Well it's kind of no surprise because honestly most of the industrialized / developed nations are found in the Northern Hemisphere.

And you can start a "How has your winter been?" or a "When does school finish?" thread. :D

I feel special being a Southern Hemisphere resident. As a kid I used to believe that people who lived in the Southern Hemisphere had to grasp tree trunks and nail their homes to the ground so as not to "fall off" the planet and into space (this was before I migrated to this side of the world). Isn't gravity just great? :)

I would agree that most of us are in either North America or other parts of the Northern Hemisphere.
An even better question to ask would be how many members are there who have English as either a second or third language?

Ok, perhaps it's even worse than I thought... Four different people people posting in this thread, and half of them southern hemispherians.

English is my second language.

Also it's been a cold winter. I'm glad summer is coming. :)
