Does anyone else with long hair frequently get asked if they're growing their hair out for Locks of Love? I've gotten tired of it and am starting to have a guilt trip. But, my hair grows slowly and I have spent about 10 years getting it the length it is now, which I like. I think I'll probably grow my hair out about six inches more and then donate.

Well, I've heard that most of the hair donated from America is unusable because it isn't healthy enough due to poor diets and such.SailorDove wrote:[Locks of Love] sounds like a good thing. But, after researching found out that they don't really do much with the hair donated. Its done more for publicity. The majority of hair donations are sitting in storage to never be used.
Really? I did not know that, although it makes sense. I guess I lucked out; I usually don't brush it until it's dry just because that's easier.Doubleshadow wrote:I finger comb it, and you shouldn't use a brush on it when its wet, that's when its the most breakable.
