How Do You Sleep?

Talk about anything in here.

Mostly my side, but sometimes on my stomach, especially when it's cold to keep my hands warm.

I have a tendency to toss around from back to side to stomach, although it is heck of a hard time getting to sleep in the heat during the summer.

When I'm completely exhausted, I fall asleep in whatever position I happen to be in when I hit the bed. (And woe to the mortals who dare to disturb my slumber.)

Normally, though, it takes me a long time to fall asleep, and I toss and turn a lot. I can never remember what position I fall asleep in.

I sleep on my side and will switch from one side to the other during the night.
I also have to put a night guard in my mouth to keep from grinding my teeth and if someone sleeps in the same room with me I have to wear a snore clip to keep from snoring.
I think my snoring is a nasel type of snore because I clinch my teeth when I wear the night guard but I have been in a room when someone lays on their back and it comes through their mouth and wakes me up.
But I have been told I have kept them awake with my snoring.

I sleep flat on my back with my legs straight and my arms crossed over my ribs. Everyone tells me I "sleep like a corpse". Sleeping on my side makes my shoulders and upper back hurt, and sleeping on my stomach makes it hard to breathe. The arms are a joke that stuck. I decided to sleep like Wednesday Adams once as a joke and it was comfortable so I never stopped.

@ Doubleshadow- Thats sorta weird, but its okay to sleep like that as long as you don't just happen to be tired and then just happen to wander into a casket for rest.

I remember from a show called the Munsters that Lily (The mother and wife of the household) would always hold a flower in her hands, like as a corpse would, while she was asleep and it wasn't just a small flower -oh no- it was a big flower that looked fake.

Honto? It's quite fun. It feels like you can walk on walls and jump without falling.

i sleep all three ways. just depends on what i feel like that night. i usually end up sleeping on my side. lately, i've been waking up to find that i am deeper in my bed than when i fell asleep. like, last night, i slept on my left side of the bed and woke up on the right halfway down the bed...^^;

I fall asleep on my stomach and wake up on my stomach; however, various stuffed animals or pillows often don't remain on my bed. When I was little, I used to roll off my bed. Thank goodness my bunk bed had a guard rail.

I think I roll around in my sleep because when I wake up sometimes, I'm sometimes on my stomach, side, or back. But I try to sleep on my back because it's probably the best position.

I sleep on one half of my bed...the other half is occupied by my incredibly large stuffed lion ^^.

I just heard this the other day on the radio.
Its recommended that you replace your pillows every year or two years because of dust mites or bacteria which can build up in the material of the pillow.
One way around it is to put plastic covers on the pillow and put pillow cases over them.
I had a thought. Just think of all the pillows ending up in the landfills every year when you replace them. I guess that also goes for mattresses after so long a time too.

I toss and turn a lot, but I usually can't get to sleep unless I am laying on my right side.

If I am sick, then I will sometimes sleep on my back, propped up by extra pillows.

Well, I move in my sleep ALOT, no clue how or why. I can fall asleep on my back on on end of my bed, and wake up curled up on the other side. I have no clue how I got there; I just do stuff like that in my sleep, I guess.

1) Change into shorts and lay upon mattress (occasionally with a stuffed animal).

2) Pull (unmade) covers over body (often leaving them in a mess afterwards).

3) Move around until a fairly comfortable position is found; get bored of position, move again; repeat.

4) Lose conciousness.

I also have a most fitting picture for this situation, but I'm not sure if it's allowed (due to it being a reference to a certain 'SECRET WEBSITE').

I discovered at a young age that I seem to have trouble breathing if I sleep on my stomach.

I sleep either on my side or back, I'd say the split is about even.

It depends.

During the summer if I sleep in a hammock I am on my back. However, I usually must sleep inside, in which case I am rather hot because we do not have air conditioning; this means I change position quite a bit.

Otherwise (also known as Fall, Spring, and Winter), I find it most comfortable to sleep on my stomach with my arms folded beneath me.
