Otakon '07!
Well Otakon is nearly one week away, and I know a few of us are coming. Is anyone else planning to go?

Well I will be there. My friend has made reservations from Thursday to Sunday at the Holiday Inn. Plan to pickup passes Thursday evening and I guess get something to eat and get some rest before Friday morning.
If things are like last year it might take a while to get into the center when the doors open for those that have their passes already.

I think all those who attended Otakon got bad press from the radio jocks on a couple of local radio station. I happen to be listening to the Don & Mike show (A national show) today and Don was saying he was stuck in the traffic in the area and he said he saw all the people in costume and said how it looked like Halloween and how everyone looked happy for what they were doing.
I heard how they think anime is just Pokamon and SpeedRacer.
There was a few things that were said that just didn't seem right to say with out knowing what is what.
I guess we just don't get the good press all the time.
The one thing they brought up that was on the Otakon website about showering every day and not wearing the same costume the whole weekend
to really make it bad.
A few callers had said it was something else other than Otakon.

So, have you put up that video yet? And don't tell me you deleted it because I'm not telling that story again next year. It's not really all that funny anyway. And I certainly hope you put the other one up somewhere (the one with your friend calling McDonald's).

Otakon is in Baltimore, and it was really awesome! I saw some good anime and a good movie, and I hung out with my awesome CAA friends!
