Oh! Almost forgot the smell of when you walk into a bakery^^ With all the fresh bread scents and smells of glazed stuff, it makes me sooooo hungy!

The smell of the air after the rain, the street during the night, and pretty much any smell with memories tied to it. Gives a bit of nostalgia.

Currently, my new candle. I don't actually like candles and I don't even light them ever (mainly because I've got a childhood trauma about fire), but it smells oh so sweet.

Mmmm, lots of nice smells listed.

Mine are:

1. Pine needles - my grandmother used to make pine needle pillows out of Balsam (notably the most fragrant of pines, btw).
2. Gardenias
3. Most flowering, scented trees...e.g. lilacs, orange blossoms, etc.
4. Bakeries, for sure.
5. Coffee

Not a very unique list, I'm afraid.
Note to self: Take more notice of smells, especially the favorable ones.

interesting,

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but I read surprisingly that smell is the sense most strongly associated with memory, which I didn't believe at first, until an inccident happened. I had an ex who always smelled so fresh (thought I was gonna say stunk bad eh?), I didn't know what it was, but she smelled good. So fast forward 2 years later after the breakup, my family is traveling cross country and were staying at some dinky inn; I go to pick up fresh laundry, I lift it up to my nose to smell it and.......

KAZAAAMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!! A KALEIDOSCOPE OF GLLITTERING COLOURS IN MY MIND, MY HEAD REELS BACK IN SHOCK and out of no where my thoughts are flooded with thoughts of my ex, I was absolutely astonished, I hadn't thought of her in years and there she was in my mind. It turns out that the mystery scent was none other than TIDE laundry detergent!

weird huh?

Mmm, the nose knows....
Sorry someone had to say that pun, (for fun)

*everyone rolls their eyes*

Ahem, right...

*fumbles for list of favorite smells*

They are in random order....
(Thought I was gonna make an odor pun, didn't you?)

Before & After it Rains
Brownies fresh from the oven
Baked Banannas, (Yes for real, my mommy makes it!)
Raisin Toast
stepping outside late at night (during spring or summer)
someone else's barbaque
Lasanga when its cooling off
Apple Pie fresh from the oven
Popcorn that's still warm

Umm... there's more but I'll come back & edit them in later.

Maybe I'm weird ... or maybe my weirdness is a result ...
But I like the smell of gasoline fumes.
Embraced by a gentle breeze, my heart breaks as I think of you.
All alone at the top of the hill, I watch as the seasons go by.
