Help me Please

After hearing about some Discomforting{possibly disterbing}news about Wendee Lee{via interveiw for an online anime site},I keep on thinking about what I read in that interview ..I just cant let it go,no matter what I do.I have become troubled and very saddened{to the brink of tears too}at what I have learned about her..she's not a mean person,it's something else. every time I hear{or read]something worldly about her,I get saddened and troubled. She is my one of my favorite VA's,and I don't wanna see her ruin her life...thats why I constantly post prayer requests for her salvation. Is something wrong with me?
does anyone know why i can't stop getting saddened by her worldliness? I need your help,If you think you can help me. Oh,I also found out in that same interview that She likes Non-Violent Hentai..So she DEFINATLY Needs Jesus.

I don't want to give advice, but here are the thoughts that have crossed my mind after reading your post.

1) It sounds like you have a burdan in your heart to keep her in your prayers. Continue to do so.

2) No one's rightous, no not one. Only God is Just. Our sins are different, but our need for him is no less than anyone else's.

3) It also feels like you really looked up to her and are feeling betrayed by finding out what she's really like.

4) Love isn't about wishing someone to do something. But accepting them as they truely are and loving them anyway.

I'm a bit confused by this, really. There are plenty of actors and actresses that have their issues, but I don't think that's a reason to throw out any idea of watching anything they put out. Ian McKellen is gay, but that doesn't mean I'm going to burn all of my Lord of the Rings movies. Tom Cruise is exceptionally strange, but that doesn't mean I'm never going to watch Mission: Impossible ever again. Praying for Wendee Lee might be a good thing, but boycotting anything she's a part of isn't necessarily the way to deal with something like this. O_o

Wendee Lee needs God just like we all need Him. Just as much as that mailman down the street, or the guy who works at your gas station.

Quoted for truth. We often see actors and actresses as they are in movies: heroic, compassionate, the "good guy". Behind all of that, though, there's a real, live person who's made real, live mistakes, and that seems to let people down sometimes. If you feel led to pray for them, then do so, but don't be shocked when you find out that your favorite actress isn't perfect.

Amen to that. I've prayed for my favorite mainstream artists in the past, even if I didn't support what they did. Like some of us have already said, what really matters is that we see beyond the things that made the person famous and understand that behind all the glamor is a man or lady that needs Jesus.

On A Side Note: When I sent her an E-Mail 4 years ago,I mentioned Jesus{not god}and she Replied. and at the end of the E-Mail she said

May I ask why you're truly upset about all this? If Wendee Lee weren't a famous voice actress and you found out about this, would it make a difference?

Johnny IS in Naruto...so far he has played minor rolls such as an announcer and stuff...^^;

I have to agree with Kitsune. I tend to have this moments of overreacting when one of my personal heroes or heroines does something I can't imagine. So I can relate to this feeling.

It's not unusual to feel a certain connection with celebrities. Watching celebrities through tabloids and shows like Entertainment Tonight is a business every bit as big as the movies and TV shows that made them celebrities in the first place.

Hentai is also not the greatest blight on the human heart. It is merely another example of our fallen nature and our culture’s obsession with sex. As far as that goes and even though it still represents a troubled mind, I’d rather it be animated than live action.

Did you know Ms Lee was not a Christian before? If so, what has really changed? Is she somehow better off to be a non-Christian than a non-Christian who watched hentai? The mere presence of hentai on her resume neither changes her talent as a voice actor nor her need for a relationship with her Savior.

That said, if you need to take a while to sort this all out and re-evaluate how you feel about Ms Lee, than do so. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. We should constantly re-evaluate what we spend our time on and who we pay attention to.
