The Mummy 3!

Postby Etoh*the*Greato » Mon May 28, 2007 5:04 pm

Alright, just found out today (since I'm on some kind'a mad Mummy kick) that they're making a third (ish) mummy movie!

Brendan Frasier has been brought back (since the film would be dead without him), but they didn't get Rachel Weiss back to play Evelyn. Shame, too. I loved her in that role. I guess she's started doing really well for herself again, though. I can't imagine the movie is gonna have a -huge- budget since it's been... how many years since Scorpion King? Five? Yeah.

Anyway! This movie is going to have a Chinese setting, with Michelle Yeoh (!) and Jet Li (!!).

Just what the world needed.
Another "Mummy" movie.

What did you guys think of the "Scorpion King" movie?

I personally enjoyed it. A good movie along the lines of such classics as "Conan" and "Red Sonja." Still, it was a different kind of movie experience than the first two Mummy movies.

I liked the Mummy and the Mummy Returns but I hated The Scorpion King for some reason. I would see this though.

First movie was great, second movie was okay. I was really hoping they wouldn't make another one...I'll be really glad when Hollywood's sequel-itis is cured.

I don't believe that they could do a good mummy movie with out Rick and Evelyn as the main characters, The second film was a pretty much a rehash of all the elements of the first mummy. And no imhotep? I dont know how that can work.

Rick and evelyn will be the main characters. Rachel Weiss just won't be playing Evelyn, that's all.

The Mummy was a remake of a classic '30s or '40s movie of the same title.
And I am not talking about Abbot And Costello Meet The Mummy either!
