Bart Howard, 88, Songwriter Known for 'Fly Me to the Moon'

Bart Howard, the composer of ''Fly Me to the Moon'' and of cabaret songs recorded by Mabel Mercer, Johnny Mathis and many others, died on Saturday in Carmel, N.Y. He was 88 and lived in North Salem, ... The cause was complications from a stroke, said his companion of 58...

Ah, man! I hate it when this sorta thing happens. You think it won't happen to any one you know ...and then it does. I'm just glad I got into Nirvana AFTER Cobain died, if I'd got into them before then I probably would have been devistated.

That's so sad :sniffle: I have that song!

I hate that...but you have to let go sometime. It's so wierd when you hear their vioce or see them on the big screen after they're dead. Almost like they came back to life...
I'm leaving CAA perminantly. i've wanted to do this for a long time but I've never gathered the courage to let go.

Thanks people. Really does help in such sad times.

Well, it's time to let go I suppose. He was old, and probably was going to die soon, but still.

I'm going to keep my sig for a looong time. Fly Me To The Moon will forever be my music of choice.
