Vincent is the only character in that entire film who has it all together.

It would've been Yuffie, but she got little to no screentime. After that, it would've been Red XIII, but he got less screentime and no lines at all. XD So basically, I don't have a favorite. XD

Oh, well I meant the series in general. AC was a terrible movie anyway, lol (Many reasons, one being that a lot of major characters got barely any screen time).

In that case, I guess Reno and Rude were the only ones worth liking (Though I still say Cid is the best character in FF7).

Oh yeah, I forgot about those guys. They were pretty cool, I guess.

I'm a Yuffie fan, so her lack of any screen time disappointed me. Strictly speaking AC, Tifa's fight scene in the begining of the movie was a lot of fun to watch, so I'll vote for her.

Vincent and Tifa are my favorite characters, although I like Cloud a lot as well [odd, since I tend not to like the main hero much].

Heh. I find it interesting that this is favorite character in a movie, which is part of an overall story. If we continue to ask more specific questions, will we have "Favorite Character in the First Ten Minutes" threads?

Anyway, I cast my vote for Vincent. In a movie that is ridiculously Cloud-centric, he is the only other character to actually accomplish anything (namely, saving Cloud). The fact that he faces off with the villains effectively doesn't hurt either.

It was a decent flick, but in comparison to FF7's plot, it was an ultimate dispointment.

I probably onyl enjoyed it because my favorite characters were Cloud and Sephiroth.
I'm under the impression a huge amount of you dislike those two characters, but I really liked them.

I personally thought Cloud was extremley cool at the start of FF7 and I thought the AC VAs were good for the most part.

I didn't appreciate Larry the Cable Guy playing Cid.

Square put together a visual tech demo to show off the graphical capacity of the PS3 for a convetion, where they re-filmed the opening of FFVII with Advent Children quality graphics. The video was a success, and so there are rumors of a potential remake in the works, although really it's too soon to say either way.

They would certainly sell some copies if they did. FFVII has proven to be a fruitful investment for them.

FFVII is most definately Square Enix's pet cow.

They just keep milking it and milking it until the cow dies.

Both are moderately interesting to me. I don't think Sephiroth's appearance was mishandled, but I do object to the way the movie focuses on Cloud. There are many characters in FFVII]everything[/i].

But that isn't really the issue, and I suspect it isn't for most other people. While the movie was entertaining due to the fight scenes and high-dollar animation, it wasn't actually very good. You must admit that the plot was barely there and no real character development took place.

At that point I suspect they shall attempt to cast Arise/Life2 and return to milking.

I LOVE Reno... obviously. I always liked Kadaj (oh so insane), Sephi, Yuffie, Tifa, and Nanaki.

Well put, Dincht. I'm getting sick of Nomura popping sequels out of hats and coming up with a new Sephi wanna be every time. I loved AC, but now I think the cow is long past dead and well on its way to rotting on McDonald's 99 cent menu for lack of better analogy.
