As far as I'm concerned, Evanescence is done

For all the music-lovers out there, this is your place to swap lyrics, talk about new bands and jazz about concerts. All things related to the audio world belong here.

Do you mean Draconian? They are truly amazing.

As for Evanescence, I could really care less. Amy Lee does have a good voice but he rlyrics are awful.

Her vocal arrangements are good, but yeah, lately the lyrics are so cliche'd and angsty.
K. Ayato: What happens if you press the small red button?

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

K. Ayato: Perfectly.

Technically, no she doesn't.

Have you heard her live? She's terrible.

Unfortunately, that seems to be a trend in music today. People who can actually sing have been replaced by people who look good doing it. It seems a lot of people have good "studio voices" where they get to focus on singing and the audio techs can help them a little. Live performances are tough, though. They are a lot different than studio sessions.

There are many bad singers out there but I don't think Amy Lee is one of them.

You can't really judge unless you've heard a live performance though.

Technology can do wonders these days, people who can't sing can have their voices modified to sound really good. Heck, even I'd have a great singing voice if I got the right sound techs.

I've heard her live. Sounded fine to me.

She sounded ok to me live. Many bands don't sound great live or sound better life. Like Pillar sounds awful recorded but I actually enjoyed them live.

If you wanna talk about making yourself sound better recorded, talk to Paris Hilton.
