Samurai Champloo and the Read or Die OVA are my top favorites, everything else I enjoy following suit right behind.

1. Full Metal Alchemist - no anime is EVER going to knock this one off the top of my list!
2. Wolf's Rain - if you don't mind the repeat episodes in the middle
3. Haibane Renmei - unless you don't like animes where nothing ever "happens". HR isn't exciting, it's more of a peaceful eye of the storm you can watch in between other animes as a break. Reminds me of the game ICO.
