See ya.

Talk about anything in here.

See ya.

Postby Bobtheduck » Fri Mar 05, 2004 4:12 pm

I'm going to be going. At least, I'd give it a month, but perhaps forever. I am too weak to arguments and I get angry too easily. This has been weak point for me and I've given in to it too much. I have been sinning for a good portion of my time here. Sinning because God told me straight out not to argue about certain things. If you want to be updated on me, I'll still try to keep my journal going.

It has been nice to have Christians to talk to about anime and video games. I don't think I know a single Christian in real life who shares my love of anime. However, Jesus said "It's better to enter heaven with one eye than to have your entire body thrown into hell." Even though leaving this place makes it hard for me to talk about things like that, it's not worth staying if coming here is causing me to sin.

I would like to keep in contact with some people, particularly Volt and UC (we gots us some full sail to discuss.) but it won't be on the boards... I'm not sure if I want to delete my account like Cephas did, but I just wont' be participating anymore.

I want to thank all of you for the interesting time I've had here; I only hope I can find people in real life to share my hobby with.

That's about all I wanted to say. じゃ、ね!

You'll be missed.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Please take care of yourself, and I hope you find happiness in whatever other hobbies you decide to do to take the place of visiting the CAA Forums. Many blessings to you and those you love.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Goodbye to both of you. *sighs* I truly wish that you guys could stay. While I'm pretty sad that you're both bowing out, I'd like you to know that I appreciated you both, and you really added something very special to CAA. I'm glad that I've had the opportunity to meet you guys and get to know you through the forum. I hope things work out for the both of you.

Goodbye Bob and Cephas. Hopefully we will meet again (and by meet I mean post on the same forums  ), and until then I will miss your insightful and edifying comments.

To Bob: Good luck with Full Sail. When you get finished, I will be the first one to preorder my copy of Noisy Valley. ;)

To Cephas: I respect your mind, and your wit. People like you are rare in this world, and even moreso in the Church.

Aw... that's sad... but if this place really is stressing you out...

As for me, I just haven't been posting very much. I mean, MillyFan was who introduced me to this board and whose posts I'd reply to most often. I'm still here, though. If I get stressed, I go elsewhere for a while. Maybe that's what you need, just a vacation for a bit, both of you.

Key members leaving... does it feel like this place is falling apart?

Part of me wants to dance on the grave, just because I'm evil like that, but mainly, it just makes me sad, because this place is just such a great concept.

Maybe it's that we're too liberal... maybe it's that we're not liberal enough? Maybe it's because too many of us are flawed in certain aspects of our lives? I don't know.

This is just... sad.
