Alright, here is my problem. There are two trips planned for the same day; one I want to go on, one I don't want to go on. Seems easy, right? Well, one is a 4-H trip to Jekell Island for our Senior Conference. The other is a SkilsUSA trip to Atlanta for a competition. I'm wanted for the SkillsUSA trip, since I am on the team; however, there are five members, and only four are needed, so I am not necessary. I don't want to go on it, but I would make my drafting teacher quite angry if I did not. I have gone the past two years, though, and never gotten much out of it.
The other trip is the Senior Conference. It is much more appealing; Friday night, we get to watch a movie, Saturday go to the beach, and on Sunday there is a dance followed by putt-putt. Of course, this looks very good on my portfolio for 4-H, and there are a lot of scholarship opportunities linked to 4-H, as well. If I don't go on the 4-H trip, I will be letting some people down, as well.
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, here. I don't know which one to go on; I don't want to go on the SkillsUSA trip, but I feel obliged to...like its my duty to my team and friends. I DO want to go on the 4-H trip, since it will be more fun, I've never been on it, and I only have 2 more chances to do so. I have a lot of people who want me to go on that, as well. I am so stressed out about this that I feel as if I'll gray by twenty. Anyone have any advice on what to do?
