Need some help.

I'm trying to creat a travel log to record places that I've been into. I want to set up some guidelines that way I don't count every small town I go through. This is what I've come up with so far.

1. I must spend at least one night in the city.

2. The city's population must be within a certain percentage of the state's capital's population. (I haven't decided on how much of a percentage, any clues here will be greatly appreciated also..)

3. I must visit at least one tourist attraction in or near the city.

If anyone could think of some other good guidelines, I'd greatly appreciate it.
