Not a theology disscussion... just was thinking about this and decided to start a topic where people can post what their favorite Biblical books are.
I think mine is the Gospel of John, though I find, lately, that I really like the Book of Ecclesiastes. I mean... it's a depressing book, but I like the poetry in it and the sad wisdom of it. I like using quotes from it.
A Catholic friend once directed me to an online quiz "What Book of the Bible Are You?" things... well, if you take online quizzes, you know they make them for everything. If I remember correctly, I got the Book of Revelation. I think it fits my personality: Into symbolism and downright weird.

My favorites are Romans and 1 Corinthians. They cover so many subjects, including marriage, spritual gifts, holiness, and many more. Also, Romans 7-8 are my favorite chapters, so that makes Romans one of my favorite bookes.

Proverbs. Proverbs Proverbs Proverbs. I read it at least once a month. I toss in Romans occasionally to get a lil deep.

Oh! Psalms, Proverbs, Matthew and Revelation. Favorite verse though is Psalm 23:4, was the first verse I ever learned and repeat it often.

I remember these books made a strong impression on me.
I read very slowly and meticulously. I also have a very bad memory so I cannot give specifics on why they made a strong impression.

Upmost book is REVELTAION, second is Job cause it has dinosaurs, how can you not like a book with dinosaurs? Then there's the book of Daniel, which is a MUST read for a person whom reads Reveltaions, the two relate to each other concernig Prophecy.

Without a doubt, Job. I've utilized what's in it far more than any other book (other than the basics, but concepts such as servanthood are generally taught outside of the context of a book).

My favorite would have to be Romans, Hebrews and Psalms. I also like Luke--it reads like a novel. Romans and Hebrews have the power to both chide me and encourage me, so I love those...every time I read them I get some new perspective. Psalms has some beautifully moving lyrics and pieces to it--heck who doesn't like Psalms?!
I'd be really floored to hear someone liked Numbers or Leviticus best.

I love the Psalms. I've done a study on the life of David and it made me appreciate the Psalms even more. My other favorite books are Romans, Romans 7 and 8 being my favorite chapters, and I Corinthians, especially chapter 2, and how it explains the Holy Spirit's relationship to us, as believers. My favorite Gospel is John.

My favourites are Proverbs, Psalms, 1 Corinthians, and Romans. Looks like they're pretty much listed in order too. I've gotten by far the most out of Proverbs and Psalms.

My personal favorites are Ezekiel and Ecclesiastes in the OT, and 1 John and Hebrews in the NT. Also, Haibane Shadsie, according to that "Which Book of the Bible Are You?" quiz, I'm the book of Proverbs.

The Book of revelations contains the last official words and warnings from Jesus to the Church. The prophecies in there are confusing, but not the warnings. The messages to the churches are very clear and very important.

I rather like Haggai a lot. It's not a book that gets much press, either. Ruth is also the Bible's own sappy love story. *sniffle* The other one in this list for me is Daniel, which I think has as much relevance to future times as Revelation does.
As for NT books, I'd have to say I got a lot of wear out of Luke, and James.

Same here. This was what stopped me from reading straight through the Bible when I was little.

Concidentaly, I started reading Ecclesiastes the day before you started this thread. I was curious about where "nothing new under the sun" was. I dont' know about what book is my favorite, because it's so much good in them all... but if I have to choose, I think I'll choose Romans.
