mitsuki-lover & ICE-rocks - Ja, but you didn't need me to say it, did you? :) And when a day comes that's supposed to showcase and promote that stuff, mightn't it be useful to be mindful of it? Even if you're constantly lookin' out for opportunities, you'd already have this down, but couldn't making a special effort for that day be a confession and tribute to the fact that we can always do more? As in, 'sure, I always work hard, but this be a reminder for me to work harder (permanently, o' course, not tokenistically) and by observing it I'm admitting I need the reminder'?

I know this day is a trivial at the big issue of making that attitude a way of life, not a holiday, but it still reminds folks to make a special effort - and as you showed, it can act as a natural trigger to tackle that bigger issue.

Admittedly, my motives lean more towards the 'OOOH, BANDWAGON!! I WANNA JOIN IN' sorta thing - which does tend to make me deeds done for show. >< But good deeds are good deeds and just as the shallowness of the day ain't an reason not to do join in, wrong motives don't make good deeds bad for the receiver - it's me that needs to shape up. But that's no reason for me to stop doing things. If I waited to make sure my heart was entirely pure before doing things, I'd not move. I know - I've tried.

carneman - Dude! ^^ I wanted to do that, but, like I said above, I doubted my motives and missed the opportunity (like so many other times). Perhaps that was more honest for me, but I can't help but think I just wasted a chance to get more good happening in the world. Makes me think if only I'd gone ahead but asked for help to do it right. Ah well, there's still time left! God bless you 'n' yer efforts! Hope it goes well!

Of course, this is one of those things you can tell ANYONE about, and they can join in. It doesn't have to be a faith-based thing.
