What is that glorious amber light on the horizon! Why-- it's a review of Diamond Daydreams by freerock1.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I was wondering when someone would get around to this...I've only seen most of the episodes, and that was from AnimeNetwork on Demand (don't have it anymore, though). When I started watching the second episode, and Shoko's episodes, I turned it off, mostly because I was worried about inappropriate content. But from what I did see, it was pretty good.

Yeah, with the girl showing up at the older guy's doorstep in the rain and a preview clip with her wearing his shirt (in the 2nd episode), I was a little wary that they might go down the immorality path. Thankfully, they did not.

As far as Shoko episodes...
eventually she does break off the affair, after she starts dealing with her own emotional pain and confusion from her actions. While the affair isn't outrightly condemned, it seems she knows what she's doing is wrong. As far as sexual content, there's one scene where it looks like they might be about to do something, but she resists.
So overall, I'd say there's not much inappropriate content to worry about. When it looks like they might be about to go down an immoral path, usually they turn from it quickly.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

That's good. I figure I might want to look into the complete set, since Amazon says that it comes out on June 5th.
