I knew what I was saying and I stand by that. This message was endorsed by Etoh*the*Greato for a more Greato Nation.

I have two possible thoughts on this:

1. You seriously meant "Necrophilia" as in "bringing dead threads some love".

or

2. You realized your mistake, but found a way to cover it up.

I sort of wish it was the second. XDD

Ah, if wishes were horses, we'd have a never ending supply of glue. But seriously, I did mean "dead threads need some lovin'." Also, conventions for the rock! Just don't expect to be doing much blowing off of steam if you work staff (but seriously? Working staff is totally worth it. And they need all the help they can get!).

*Looks at top of thread* I guess i would be mostly elitist, but minus the DVDs, as I am currently trying to save for a car. ()_() I REALLY dislike dubs, even if it makes me seem strange to other people, and don't get me started on edits... I have been to one con, (Yay for Otakon!) but otherwise I rely on subtitles.

I'd say a Hobbyist, but there are some aspects listed under it that aren't true of me. So I guess I'm Casual, but then thats too mild to describe my fandow. So I guess I'm in between?

Stronger end of the Hobbyist spectrum is what I am.

Hmm, Im inbetween the first two, I go to as many anime cons as I can, but I dont buy anime on dvd because well, its exspensive and I can find better stuff to spend my money on, expecially since youtube is around. But I still go to cons and stuff.

Im somewhere between the casual fan and the anime hobbyist. I dont have much money so i dont buy many DVD's but when i do its usually something i have only seen a little of, i dont only buy anime dvd's because i have seen them all and like the show. i watch most of my shows on the tv or the internet. living where i do i also have never been to an animecon. I notice the edits and sometimes they really get on my nerves but i continue to watch them anywaysw. hmm lets see what else was there. I also prefer Dubs but i dont just watch them, On the occasion i find Subs much better because its the original voice and a lot of the times the dubs get screwed up one way or the other.

A hobbyist with more than a few elitist traits. I do watch fansubs, do enjoy them, do prefer subs (although some dubs are very good, but watching subs helps with my language skills), but don't shell out much if any money to buy series or go on huge rants about editing/casting decisions.

Oh, and I've only been to one con, but I wasn't impressed.

I might be a hobbyist/casual... I don't go to anime conventions and I don't buy anime DVDs ^^;; And I like dubs.

I'm a hobbyist whenever I have the money, which is rare. I'm in college right now, so I can't really afford hobbies. I generally like subs, by the way, except in FMA. I think the dubbing artists there did a good job.

I have never been to an anime convention, but only because I can't make it to any of the places. So, I guess you could consider me a casual fan. ^_^

Ha! I am a casual fan, with like two hobbyist traits.
No one knows what goes on inside of your head
And everything seems to be ok.
And your the same as you've always been (your the same)
If I'd listened, would you have talked to me?

I don't wanna Let You Down,
But I can't even pick up myself.
I only wanted to make you proud,
But I don't think I can do this anymore.

When did this crowded room get so lonely?
And everyone keeps looking at me.
I'm tired (so tired) of faking my life
I'm so tired, I don't wanna feel this way.

Your list is incomplete. Eletist should be called, 'Otaku' because those people are truly house riddenas the word would mean. :P

XD Everywhere else I've been, I've been considered an eletist, because I'm only interested in certian types of shows (...is it wrong that I like my genres?!) and I generally don't get along with a lot of anime fans who seem to add KAWAII to every sentence, half of the time making no sense ('ITS SO KAWAII' '...you just said, 'its so its so cute'') and are just plain obnoxious. DX I really hope that didn't offend anyone, and 10/11 voices are telling me I'm about to get major flamed.

hee... I think im somewhere between hobbyist and elitist.
I think that´s pretty common, ne?

My biggest neurosis is the dubbed anime. THEY ARE HIDIOUS.
My luck is that in my homecountry even TV broadcasted are subtitlet and spoken in japanese :)

I think 4kids has given dubs a bad name.Though if you think about it most otakus get their start with dubs and later discover the subs.I enjoy both myself, including
fansubs.
