Oh yeah, I have one more entry--

Wolf's Rain. It has all of my favorite classic V/A's like Mona Marshall, JYB (Johnny Young Bosch) and Joshua Seth (Among others)

The Naruto dub is really cool--from what I've seen of it. It floored me when I found out who Naruto's V/A was! She is REALLY talented and really brings something to the role!

Re-watching the Read or Die OVA, I'd forgotten how good the English translation was (aside from a certain Gennai Hiraga).

[quote="Fish and Chips"]Yeah, I only didn't mention FullMetal Alchemist because I feel both the Japanese and English VAs were on equal footing]

Seconded.

I enjoy the Fruits Basket dub much, much more than the sub.

Though I still refuse to believe Laura Bailey is both Tohru and Lust. I went to a convention, met her, and heard her quote scenes from both shows in both voices. I still can't believe it.

Moving on... has anyone ever heard of Betterman? That's another one were the dub is better than the sub.. which, considering the quality of the dub, is pretty sad... I like the anime a lot; it has an interesting storyline, but the problem is that even in the Japanese version, about half the lines are in the most horribly accented Engrish I've heard... and whatever the quality of the acting, I'd rather hear "Betterman Nebula!" than "Bet-TAHR-u-man... *raspy*Niieeeeeeeeee-BWU-lah!" any day.

#10 on my top ten favorite all time list is Betterman. :thumb:
I originally saw it on Anime Unleashed on the old Tech Tv.Keita was done by the same actor who did Jinto in the dubs of Crest and Banner of the Stars.
