Dealing with heavy depression, please pray

Postby Gooseberry » Sun Feb 18, 2007 6:16 pm

I hate to admit this, but the depression that has progressed slowly over the past year or so has reached deeper levels. Without going into detail, I am having frequent anxiety attacks and fleeting thoughts of suicide, which I know I will not act on, but the fact that they're there at all is troubling.

Please pray that God will help me endure and breath some of his breath back into my life, I'd really appreciate it.

I'll pray...
"Everybody's weird in their own special way." - P.V.
"Never refuse a breath mint." - my dad
"The UAC is making safer worlds through superior firepower." - Doom 3
"This world is a great sculptor's shop. We are the statues and there is a rumour going round the shop that some of us are some day going to come to life." - C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

"I'm too cool to scroll. -- MOES."

Depression can be a difficult issue with which to deal, but with God's help you can overcome it. I will be praying. Be sure to keep us posted on how you are doing.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

Lifting you up in prayer. May the peace of God surround you.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

I'm praying for you, and I would like you to know that I am dealing with the exact same thing right now and although I may not be able to give you any advice, I can listen if you would like someone to talk to. *hug* I understand some of what you are going through right now and you are in my prayers.

One more prayer sent. Don't forget to seek out your closest friends as well. I know God put some good people in my path to help with my melancholic temperment, and I know God put me in my fiancee's path to help her with her own depression. Never forget the more earthly creatures God uses to help you out. ^-^
