Whoa, now I know what Homer was talking about in that episode where Milhouse's parents divorced.

"You know what you two need? A little comic strip called 'Love Is.' It's about two naked eight year olds who are married."

Yeah, I'm sorry, I find that kind of creepy.
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

No problem. :) You can scroll backwards through previous dates of comics from that page, as well.

*laughs* I've never seen that Simpsons episode, but I sort of had the same thought when I initially saw the comic. The characters are actually based on the author/writer of the strip and her husband. So there's no need to be disturbed, Alice.

Okay, good to know. @_@

Well, now that it's over, Valentine's Day seems like a breeze. ^^

I think what I don't like it is the impression you get from TV and commercials that *every single other person on the globe* has a boyfriend, girlfriend, or spouse. @_@ Silly, I know, but it gets to you something, especially if you're down already. ^_^

Whoa, I just thought it was some... odd joke they randomly stuck in there for random humour-sake :/ Simpsons have taught me tons of random trivia though before^^

I admit that my postion on valentines day is tainted by only recieving valentines cards from my mother as a child. :(
But, I still think the general premis of a specific day to show your love for another is lame. I love my wife every day of the year, and to do something romantic just because its expected on a particular day deminishes the sincerety of it (in my opinion). Not to mention that Valentines day is just an excuse to increase sales...

Im only fortunate that my wife agrees with me.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
