I can handle large crowds pretty well most of the time.
I'm a very large man, so you may think that would make it more difficult, but I think it makes it easier. Most of the time, the crowd will part like the red sea in front of my imposing visage. The only time this doesn't work, usually, is when I encounter a group of people not interested in moving anywhere and are in a circle only looking at each other. If they don’t see me, they don’t move.
I have a somewhat natural ability to intimidate people. I don’t really try to, but after talking to a few people about it, I think I know why. People, in general, do not like confrontation – especially in crowds of unfamiliar people. They will keep their eyes lowered and look around a lot for threats or predators or whatever. I, on the other hand, have always sought eye contact. I usually walk through a crowd with an intent look directly at eye level of those around me. It may be that air of confidence I exude that causes people to avoid me.
Whatever the reason, if you need to get somewhere, walk right behind me. You’ll have no problems.
