I rmember seeing a picuter of a statue somewhere that is a pile of US soldiers holding up a falling flag, but I can't find a pic of it onlnie. Can anyone help?

Iwo Jima is an amazing, sad story, you really should look it up.
I love Civil war history mostly, but I found out about Iwo Jima when I went to Washington.

Iwo Jima, I thought it might be that, but I forgot to search for it by that. Whatever it was I searched for was way off.

know what's cool, my grandfather saw that really happen on mt. suribachi when he was on iwo jima, they actually aren't catching a falling flag, but instead raising the flag for all to see on the island
