I found out something interesting...

Typing in random things on wikipedia tonight and I found out something quite cool. At least to me. Me and my friend were just goofing around, typing in randomness to find out what we could find, I jokingly put in my last name. One of the first things I found was a fairly long list of people sharing my last name. Inspecting the links I was suprised to find that they were rulers of an island in the English Channel! "Sark"...

Upon some background searching I found that I am some how related to these Seigneurs and Dames(the titles said rulers held). So...yeah. I'm decended from royalty. Pretty cool I thought lol.

If you want proof that I'm not just playing some joke or something; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sark

For the...two of you that know my last name, go and put it into Wikipedia if you want. I thought this was funny...guess my superiority complex was right after all...lol. Take THAT school counselors!

Your Seigneur(heh...I like that),
Eric

That is cool that you are descended from royalty. Could you be a long lost prince they are looking for?

So looked up my last name, and looks like one of my relatives (still living) is a champion cricket player in Italy -_-; Woohoo... I think my last name is one of those where everyone's related, rather than such common names as "Smith" or "Anderson" where it's SO branched out, that I knew a guy from my church, an Anderson, who married a girl named... Anderson! No relation whatsoever. Just funny^^

But yeah, don't think I'm from ANY type of royalty or anything, knowing most of my family came from povo northern Italy.

One time I googled myself and found that I am a 23 year old English footbol (aka soccer) player with curly blonde hair and blue eyes. I am also a male, which is apparently breaking news to me.

My last name isn't in Wikipedia.

That's pretty darn cool, nice to find things like that out at random times.

I already knew that my last name is from a town in England, which is what popped up upon the Wiki search for it. ;_; ... lol. Though, when googling my own name, a link that actually has to do with me pops up within two pages ^^

I'm still looking for my direct Scottish roots.Though it does look like according to the YDNA for my family that we're one of the many families that are probably
descended from Colla Uais the founder of the Scots Royal Line of Delraida Scotland. We're only 6 markers off from an exact match(actually my line is,the other branches in our family are only 5 off).Given the way mutations occur slowly over the years and the fact that all 6 markers that differ are only off by one each
it is a likely possibility.(Colla Uais lived in the 4th century)

Are those fiefdoms still up for grabs?
