Anyone heard of Winterfest?

Anyone who wants to comment on Winterfest, post here! For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a teen event. Tons of different church youth groups go to Gatlinburg, Tennessee (I think there's also one on Texas.). You stay at a hotel for three days. Through those three days, all of the different congregations meet in the convention center for worship and lessons from a preacher. The lessons are themed differently each year. This year's was called "On the Mountain". It was about getting closer to God. Don't think this is just for people near that area. I was more than half a day away. I really REALLY messed up the explanation, but it was awesome!! Anyone care to talk about it?

They have one in Virginia as well; but it is Dec.30-Jan.1 every year at Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA). I've only been once, but I liked it.

Woah... and here I was thinking you guys were talking about the school dance... When I was in high school one of the main dances was called "Winterfest." Never went to one, but still...

This one sounds much more fun, though. ^^

well I've never been to WinterFest but I have been to Gatlinburg and Pidgeonforge which is right next to it. Veyr very very very very awesome place. One of my favorite places in the entire world. This summer, my family bout a chatel up in the moutains overlooking Gatlinburg.

a 3 story, jaccuzi, hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, dining room with large viewing window overlooking the moutanis. We were right on top of the moutain, I mean right on top. You look down the valley and you see the Pigeonforge and all it is small lights  Took us a while the mountain ::sits remaniscing my time there watching Trigun and Princess Mononokee and Rurouni Kenshin::

Oh yeah, Gatlinburg rocks! Did you ride that air tram thingie? It's got all kinds of cool stuff up there! During free time I went up there and rode the alpine slide. I would've done more, but I didn't have the time or money.

Afraid of heights? That's too bad. It's a really great view. But shopping for swords doesn't sound boring either! Hmm, I heard some of my friends went to Calhouns. I went to TGI Fridays with the group that went on the air tram.

Ah, how I love roller coasters! :thumb:

Winterfest was awesome. Me and Twilight went with a our Youth Group. To anyone who has the chance of going, GO! I command ye. :brow:

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.
