When .hack//SIGN first aired the dub I was like "Ok, now I hope they can say Subaru's name right" (having been used to the sub aka: the right pronounciation) but nope! Not even in there!

I understand if you guys get the "hy" sound weird though, but it is also one syllable. I'm looking at you, W4C. XD
I never did this, but once I witness someone pronounce "arab," "Ay-rahb," as opposed to, "Air-ub." That was pretty amusing.

Ahem. Okay, I'm serious now.
Hm. I think the problem might be in how we think "oh" is pronounced. The way I'm reading it, you think the "oh" in "operation" should be pronounced like "oh" in "Oh, boy!" Am I mistaken?
fairyprincess90 wrote:heres my story.
i got up and opened the refrigerator and started pulling out the contents i needed in order to make a sandwhich.
my mom asked me: what are you doing?
me: i'm making a sandwhich.
but the interesting part of it was that i didnt say SANDWHICH.... i said it more like SAMwhich.
and then i started realizing everything else i say weird. i dont pronounce things right!
does anyone else around here have the same problem or am i just an odd child?
Warrior4Christ wrote:Yes.
The "oh" I am thinking of has the same vowel sound as shop, rot, cop, stop, et al.
Radical Dreamer wrote:OOH. Then I think we DO pronounce it the same way. XD Short "o", not the long "o". When I said "ah", I meant like...the same sound that the short "o" makes. XD
Yay for accent confusion! XD
Warrior4Christ wrote:"Ah" = same as short "oh"??
Your accent is weird.
How would you say my "ah"s then?
