I need to get some good ticket prices for when I go to Japan. Anyone have any good sites, companies, or tips?

Yay, a question I can answer!*

http://www.statravel.com/ and http://www.studentuniverse.com/ both have student discount airfare available, provided you can show them your student ID.

As for domestic flights, if at all possible Southwest Airlines has the best rates I've seen. They don't fly everywhere, but their rates are pretty good. If not, Expedia is usually my airfare site of choice, followed by Travelocity or Orbitz. Stick with the big names, because those small companies don't always have great liability coverage.

Also, don't do the "price your own flights" stuff...yeah, they'll give you a ticket, but you also have to fly out on THEIR time schedule, so you can't determine when you get to fly.

*has flown 70+ times, including to 9 countries.

It would depend where you would be flying from.I think if you're coming from the
West Coast the prices would naturally be cheaper than if you come from the East
Coast,plus fewer stops enroute.
