I.. don't get it. Is it that it sounds like "Samuel" if you say it fast?

I've heard of a surgeon (not that his occupation is relevant) called David David.

I've heard of a nurse called Esrun.

One of my lecturers at uni in first year was Scott Ayton. Or S. Ayton.

The topic of funny names came up when I was at my cousin's house, and there was a Cinnamon at his school. I think her sisters had equally interesting names, and I think one of them was Sunshine.

Also, one time they had a "ring in if you've heard of someone with a funny name" thing on the radio, and one caller said they had a friend who changed their name to Matthew Danger Fantastic. Danger really was his middle name.

"What in Sam Hill" is an expression.

I've met a kid named Nemesis...that has to be the strangest thing to call your child...o.O

I think his sibling had a name similar to that.

You forget her assistant, bro. Her name was Mrs. Stricklin (or some spelling of that).

One of my professors named his children Felicia, Zuriel, and Daria (there's one other sister but I can't remember her name). Each of their middle names starts with an A, too.

I had a professor who's last name was Fears. She was aptly named, as shes one of the most fickle, tempermental and biased professors at the school.

EDIT: *whaps forward* How could I forget? One of my closest friends for many years was Pepsi. Her honest to goodness name.

Actually, my Dad knew a man who really was named Obediah Juan. Unfortunately, he did not like the fact my Dad is a huge Star Wars fan.

When I was in fifth grade, there were two girls in my class named Candy - Candy Barr and Candy Hamm (which I thought was pretty cruel of their parents, even back then). I had an OB-GYN doctor whose name was (not kidding), Dr. Menzes (Menses). My husband teaches college and one of his students was named Vegemetrix.

If I get a daughter, I will name her "Rico", then I will condition her to be a tomboy and like boyish things and watch anime and stuff.

Then if I have another daughter, I will name her some random cute-name and condition her to make her all girly-girly.

Man, I have problems XD

XD My cousin named her first son "Luke" after Luke Skywalker. Fortunately enough, Luke's a pretty average name (though I'm certain that if she'd had fraternal twins, she would have named the girl Leia). XD

There was a guy stationed on my ship named Fred Albert Thario.

I'll let you think a minute on why that's funny.

A girl I knew in school was named Candace by her parents specifically so that when the short version was used with their last name it would be: Candy Sweet.

I have cousins named Trampis and Brogan.

I also knew a family who named their boys Stetson and Remington (cowboy hat brands) and their daughter Allegra Doe. Their last name was Raimee, so the poor girl was Allegra Do Re Mi, phonetically.

One of my high school English teachers married a man with the same last name as her.
