Married female VAs(for certain):
Mary Elizabeth McGlynn(McGlynn is her maiden name)
Amanda Winn Lee aka Amanda Lee Winn
Wendee Lee(was Wendee Swann originally)
Which has nothing to do with anything, just pointing it out since the subject was broached.I think they are all also married to fellow VAs as well.
Michelle Ruff's alias of Georgette Rose is actually her mother's maiden name.
Wendee Lee is listed as Wendee Swann for Robotech.

I was Just Wondering,Does Wendee Lee Have any Kids? 'Cause I don't recall her mentioning them on her web page.

Back on topic,I Still believe that Non-Funimation Manstream Christian VA's who work in anime are a rare thing. Does anyone here have a different Opinion?

I would think that since most people tend to be quiet about their religious beliefs that it would be like that famous genealogist saying:"Assume makes an
*** out of u and me"meaning one can't assume a thing unless the person themselves makes a public statement of belief or non-belief.

Saffron not Safferon, there isn't an e in her name as far as I know, and I watch
Inuyasha religiously as most people here know.If Scott McNeil and Saffron Henderson are then that would be 2 from the Ocean Group as well as 2 from
Inuyasha.
3 if Michael Dobson's brother Paul is as well.Actually that would make sense for
'Naraku' to end up being a Christian as it seems Christians sometimes end up playing really good villians for some reason.
Hunter Austin's one of the definites because I read an interview where they spoke about what it's like for her being a Christian in the acting biz.
Note:I meant the actor playing Naraku if I confused anyone.

I tried googling Christian Voice Actors yesterday and the best I could come up with was a similiar thread at Christianity.com forums.Except their list was more or less
regular actors though it did have Jodie Benson mentioned. What did surprise me was that someone said that they had read that Charisma 'Cordie' Carpenter from
Buffy,The Vampire Slayer and Angel was supposedly a Christian.Though no sources were cited...drat!

Well that's part of the problem when you try it,you rarely will get Christian Actors
instead you'll find yourself getting links to sites about Claudia CHRISTIAN from
Babylon 5 or CHRISTIAN Slater,etc.
I was actually using Yahoo now that I remember.
Still it is hard to do.I found that one site by pure accident I would say, though
nothing of much help.
Hmmm...wonder if we ought to do it by indiviual.

Right. Also Van on Escaflowne and Prince Aika on Oban Star Racers and Jason on
Kong:The Animated Series, the last of which both Scott McNeil and Saffron Henderson were in.btw:All I could find on Scott McNeil was that he was born
in Brisbane,Australia,I think 1962 was the year of his birth given, and that he likes to make weird sounds up for fish that he sees scuba diving. He also was involved in one memorable incident during the Vancouver dubbing of Dragonball Z when he
for some reason simply passed out.
Aside:Saffron Henderson stopped playing the voices of Sota and I believe Eri on
Inuyasha because of the fact she moved from Vancouver,BC to California to try to find work Stateside.

More:
Josuha Seth is Jewish
Crispin Freeman is Buddhist
Tom Gibis is Protestant
I been using Wikiepedia since it is easier to try to work from one site than go all over the place. What I do is I use Yahoo and type in the name of a particuliar anime and then look to see if there's an article on it at Wikiepedia. If it is then I look to see if they have a list of the English cast,in case there isn't I check to see the character list to see if the VAs are mentioned with their characters. Then I click on the names of each of the North American VAs.Usually they have a sidebar with the actors stats.Sometimes they will list the religion and sometimes not.
It still means a lot of digging but not as much as trying to find the same information by trying to waste time looking it up on various fansites.
btw:Tom Gibis was Mushra on Shinzo and also does Shikamura on Naruto.

Prodigious! (Don't say a word, ML....) I was a bit curious about his religion. Also, he's a hypnotist for parties and stuff like that!

I doubt that there would be too many as the entire Christian population is only around 1% in Japan.

It's actually a bit more than that.

It's just that most Japanese Christians keep it a secret.

Hi! I'm new here! I hai from Phoenix and am a 20 year old dude, like beau99. Colleen "Digimon's Sora" O'Shaughnessy is Catholic. Also Christian is Mela "St. Tail" Lee; Chuck "Android 17" Huber; Laura "Furuba's Tohru" Bailey. Sonny "Krillin" Straight has a MySpace that indicates he may be one. This link, http://www.pasadenashakespeare.com/company/eliasfahn.html, has some useful info on the true English voice of Kaoru Kamiya.

yeah,I guess you're right,KBS. Plus add Agnosticism and Humanism to the List of Japanese Faiths.

BTW,why is it that this topic has very few people participating in it?{not that i'm complaining} I mean, isn't anynone else intrested in this great topic?
