I have not talked to him in a while. He is a christian, but he is gay, and because he is a christian, he has not done anything with another man or anything to do with homosexuality(except possibly for thoughts I dunno since only GOD can read someone's mind). He is very sad all the time because he cannot have someone to love due to his orientation. I was wondering if you could pray for him and for how he feels about other men?

Of course. It's good to hear your friend is struggling away from his past, but the part about him not having someone to love is not true. God can mold his heart and change it, perhaps even providing him with a supportive wife. God knows our deepest needs and even if it takes a while to fulfill them, He will.

Man, that's sad to hear...maybe God will indeed change his heart if we pray.

Refreshing to hear about someone working on the issue. Yes, I'll pray for your friend, and his struggle.

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

I am praying for your friend. I would encourage him to seek christian counseling through a pastor or a professional counselor. Homosexuality is usually the result of other deep rooted problems that need to be worked out. From what you have said about him it sounds like he is already struggling with guilt from examining what the Scriptures say as opposed to what he is feeling. Help him to understand that seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of and it is the surest way of overcoming his feelings and not slipping further into that lifestyle.

I agree he should seek help, but he is very afraid to tell anyone because he thinks they will not like him or they'll treat him bad and make fun of him.
