Artist or Writer

Talk about anything in here.

I'm a poetry writer.

I've been told my stuff is simple but effective.

Both, but I haven't been apt to show much of my stuff lately. Writing wise, I've actually written very little, as I'm still really just developing alot of stuff at the moment.

Either way, I'm looking into Game Design, so such things would be a bit helpful in such (now to learn some computer language =p ).

Art, definitely. I can write if I really think about it, but I'm better at writing essays than I am at writing poetry or stories of any kind. In English classes in the past, I've written poems that I though were ok, but nothing that made me really want to write any more than I had to. Drawing is definitely my passion, and I love it. :D

I wouldn't say writing is easy. There are many writing mechanics to learn the ins and outs of and doing all the rewrites and edits etc. But I do agree that getting publishing is close to impossible.

I am mostly an artist, but not a good one. I am currently in the stage of "look at lots of stuff and copy it" I never was much of a writer, but I dabble around.

I like both but as much as writing enamors me, I'm still better a art than writing.

I put in "artist" for the poll, but I kinda now think I'm more of both, because even though I draw all over everything and make comics for anyone who asks (I'd show you, but I don't have a scanner!! :sniffle: ), I also write sometimes when I get inspired. Which is often. It's almost always fanfiction, though, crazy fantasies I will only see animated in my mind (not bad things, just...weird). Yep. So mostly artist, but maybe 35% writer. :)

I'm more of a writer. I can't draw too well unless you count drawing pictures with words.

I'd like to think of myself as an artist. ^_^

However perhaps people who think of themselves as artists or writers are more likely to look at this thread than people who aren't....

Still, its interesting to note how many artists and writers there are - and that they seem to be pretty much even at this point.

I'm more of a writer I guess, though I love art :)

I just wrote a book called God Loves the Freaks! :) I even have a chapter in there on Christians watching anime :)

I do like computer art though... I designed the cover for my book... what do you think?

Most certainly other. I am an engineer, not a writer or an artist. I can write, but I am hardly a writer, and I don't create anything most people would recognize as art, though I do find beauty in the nuclear engineering work I do.

Another Nuclear Engineer. I can write, especially technically. Probably could do a fictional work if I had an editor to keep me straight.

I can draw a stick man. And I have GIMP 2.0, so I can make a stick man look cool.
