I just watched this and it's the most adorable and depressing video I've watched in awhile. I thought it was all cutesy at first and then it made me cry at the end.. maybe I'm just in an emotional mood. It was very odd. As bittersweet as the ending is, it isn't logically something to cry over XD;;

What do you think? I think it has deeper - kind of cynical - implications than the animation style lets on.

I caught the impression that the animation reflects a the bird's extraordinary desire to achieve a goal. However he finds an ad-hoc way of achieving it. While he is in the state of tearful bliss, the audience realizes he is only to plummet to his death due to his skewed logic.

I really enjoyed it, as I felt it had deeper meaning. The music at the end worked incredibly well with the occurring scenes. It was music that resembled "nostalgia" or "a young child's dream". The music also worked because we the audience realizes the truth, that this bird is going to die. In a sense it's disturbing and ultimately ironic.

Some people see it in a more positive way, that there is nothing stopping you from achieving a so called "impossible dream". But I didn't see that in my interpretation.

At first I was thinking "hehe it's pretty cute^^" then I thought "...why the heck are the trees growing sideways?" and then thought "...that was a depression movie :/"

Big coincidence. I saw this yesterday and was going to post it but forgot. It's rare to see a genuinly funny and touching piece. I enjoyed it very much - deeper than it looks.
And using a kiwi bird is just GOLD!

Bobo just freaked me out and isn't very good. Pony was dark but good fun. I guessed what would happen early on, but it was fun to watch it play out. The twist at the VERY end was disturbing though. (lol)

It was sweet and sad and not sick at all.

Aww, that was sad. It was kinda cool that the little kiwi got to fly, but when he pulled out his little stub wings...Awww! :(

What made me so sad in it was that the kiwi was just so happy that he was flying that he doesn't seem to realize that he's going to die when he hits the bottom. When he put his little stubby wings out and started flapping I was like "awww" and at the same time I just lost it. Like I said, it's a very bittersweet thing, but it's hard to describe exactly why I found it so sad.

On a completely un-deep note, I LOVE the way it hammers in the nails. So cute! X3

I like the parachout idea. Let's go with that.

but he tilts his head up at the same time, so it's either happy tears, or turning up his nose to death. lol

edit: YES!! I FINALLY WATCHED IT WITHOUT CRYING!!! All it took was a little bit of bracing myself, hardening my heart, and reminding myself that the 'thud' is a parachoute being used. whew.... triumphant! ha, stupid video I've conquered you. =P

Wow... I really liked that a lot. Sorta goes with my theme of "What are you willing to sacrifice to get what you desire?" in my "Thirsty?" piece.

I'm such a stoic. I thought, in outraged horror, "You' ll die!" I was astonished by what he did in an annoyed type of way, so the whole second part was me being irritated that it did something so foolish than did not try to save itself. What does this say about me? I'm going to have to reflect on this.
