Favorite Superhero

Talk about anything in here.

My favorite Batman story is the Knightfall saga. It's divided into three trade paperbacks (and novellized as well): Knightfall, Knightquest, and Knight's End. It's the story where Batman gets his back broken by Bane. I like how it shows us how different Batman and Azrael are at crimefighting.

I have the novelization.I also have the novelization of The Death And Life of Superman.Superhero novels are cool in that they allow you to live in the world of
your favorite superheroes without having the dorky feeling that some people might cast on you for reading a comic book(not that I am against reading comic books).

Batman is my favorite. Because he's a real person without any special powers. If I were really smart and rich, I would totally create a secret crime-fighting persona and make the world a better place. Or at least look sharper come halloween.
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Oh, such a hard question! >_<
Like so many others, I like batman. He's just too cool and angsty not to like. ~_^
Although, strangely enough, I really like Superman more. Maybe it's to do with the fact I've probably seen more of him than any other superhero... probably since I don't really buy comics, though the occassional cheap novel I'll happily snatch up. ^^
Even though it seems that a lot of people get annoyed at him for it, I like his upright nature and honesty etc. ^^ Also you can laugh at a lot of stuff that goes on with him (like the fact that glasses could really hide his identity) while still enjoying what happens. :grin:
I also like Hawkgirl... only because of the fact that she's a winged girl. Meh. ;)

I like pretty much all the other major heroes of both DC and Marvel too, but the ones above are just the ones I prefer.

What? They brought back Jason Todd? If I recall, the fans wanted him dead! That should stop them from doing that.

And now the lamest superheroes ever:
Elongated Man
Color Kid (able to change an object's color)
Dazzler
Stone Boy (able to change into a stone version of himself)
Night Lady (oh sure, she's got powers, but they're only available at night)
btw, all parodies (e.g. The Tick) are exempt from being considered lame.

I believe Jimmy Olson was something like Elongated Lad.He got the power from drinking a special concotion.Lois Lane also was Superwoman,briefly after Superman's powers were accidentally passed on to her.There was also an alternate universe storyline where instead of Kal-Al being sent to Earth from a dying Krypton Lois was sent to Krypton from a dying Earth and grew up having the same sort of superpowers the Clark Kent of the "real" Superman universe developed on Earth.

The Procastinator!
FKA Mythmaster

Why must we be abandoned in times of need?
Do others not see when we yearn for their touch;
An insatiable hunger only they can feed.
Left alone with out their words – fallen into darkness.
Stumbling blindly without their light,
We fall and scream, knowing we've faced too much,
Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced
And the joys and terrors others have brought.
Our time with them, a time of joy and life,
Wonder we all, was it for naught?

My favorite is Spider-man. sure he's not the most powerful superhero on the block. but his character is all the more interesting for it. he's what a typical, everyday, geek like me would be if given his powers. his powers are limited, his social life rots, and HE MAKES MISTAKES! he is a superhuman who is still just a man. I love the way that Stan Lee makes him so human.

other than that, I'd say Superman. lets face it, who doesn't get all choked up when they hear the superman themesong from the movies?

None.

I can't think of any super hero I really identify with or hero-ize. My mother says I used to like Spider-man, but I couldn't have been more than 5 at the time, and I don't recall.

-Flash- Because he's funny in the cartoon and a Christian (in the comic books).
-Superman- Because he's. . . well. . . Superman.
-Wonder Woman- To qoute someone I don't really know, "Wonder Woman? She's hot."
-Booster Gold-
