Hey just putting this out here because I like the stuff But what cars are you driving or better yet working on. I myself rebult the front end on my 1984 mustang it turns out the person I bought it from ran into 2 deer and a cow with it. Next step new seats new dash board and rebuild the engine its running kind of ruff. Also I am putting a new engine in my Geo storm , I fixed the engine and put an awsome speaker system in a van that was given to me for free It also needs a lot of body work though, then there is my top secret project all I can say is I need a Jag rear diffrential or maybe a corvette so begins the search for a wrecked sports car.

I drive an 85 Toyota Camry. It was pretty ill used by the previous owners (which is why I got it for cheap) so I've had to do a lot of work on it. Most of what I have been doing involves scavenging parts off of a luxury model of the same year and replacing the parts on my car with them. So far I have replaced the exhaust system, all four struts, the distributer, all of the cylinders (master/slave) in the brake system, and various interior parts. The only thing that I'm really working on now is the cruise control, which only works if it is 2:30 on a Sunday.

I currently drive a '93 Cadillac DeVille. It's white with a dark red leather interior. It's okay, but it's not terribly good-looking, gets mediocre fuel economy, and requires premium fuel. The car I USED to drive was a wonderful car. It was a '96 Buick Regal Gran Sport. It was blue with a blue leather interior, fully loaded, ran on regular gasoline, got great fuel economy [it was in the thirties on the highway], and looked really good. Sadly, I wrecked the car. However, we're thinking of getting an all-wheel-drive Saturn Vue for me to take to college, which will be great.

If our ship ever comes in, Dad and I want to restore a 1970 1/2 Pontiac GTO convertible [which is a car he used to have].

I drive a '97 Saturn Station wagon. It was my parent's car, and it's sensible and gets good gas mileage. It isn't flashy, but it's a good, solid vehicle, and it gets me where I need to go.

I drive an '81 el camino. I nearly had to sell it on several occcasions, but we found a mechanic who'd drop a new engine/tranny for a reasonable price. its stock 305 has been replaced with a small-block 400, but it's got a crappy carburator(secondaries don't kick in) and is somewhat underpowered, but hey, i always wanted one and it gets me from A to B so i give it the thumbs up.

I drive a '91 Subaru Liberty (aka Legacy) sedan, 5 speed. It was also ill-treated by the previous owner, so lots of things needed replacing. I didn't do any mechanical work myself though. The interior was incredibly dirty, so I removed everything (dashboard included) and cleaned it all (particularly the ventilation system). I've also done minor electrical work like installed a central locking system myself, and alarm/immobiliser, and installed audio amplifiers and the like.

It may need a transmission overhaul soon too...

Was the central locking system difficult to install? My car doesn't have one but the donor car does, so that's on my list of pending upgrades.

It was somewhat the first time (I've installed several now). It's a very car model-dependent process though to fit the actuators. Though if you're using the donor car's, then you can obviously see how it's done and install it the same in the other. I've never actually seen a factory system install, but typically the kit actuators are just the right size to fit only one way in the door; if you try it any other way, it won't fit.

I drove a 2005 Honda NSX until this summer when I was in a pretty big crash (not my fault) and it was demolished in entirety. I dont have a car at the moment, but I'm looking. Any suggestions? I like things that go fast...or bump in the night...or just go forward faster than I can walk.

I ride a bike. It's a Jeep Camo, reflecters, about 26 inches on the wheels....yeah, it's a real sweet ride.

Typically, I drive my mom's '06 Ford Fusion. I loooove that little car. XD But when I can't use it, I drive my dad's '96 Ford Explorer. I have yet to get my own car, but that'll have to wait until I get a job (and since hardly anyone around here hires under 18...yeah. XD).

To Everyone Else:

So, kiddies, I'm about to inherit my mother's 97 Geo, I think...it's payed off, red, only a few bumps and bruises...I'm thinking of getting it repainted a nice cobalt blue, or maybe sky blue. Can you tell me anything about the Geo series?

I also own a Geo Storm and I must say they are really nice and usally quit relliable so be proud of your geo and it wont let you down.

I drive a 1993 Ford Taurus station wagon. Actually, I was going to take it to the shop for some minor fixes when I got a short in the electrical system. I was going to buy envelopes when I discovered 1.) My battery was dead and I know I turned my lights off, and 2.) the lug nuts were falling off again. Well, I had a friend jump my car and I drove to Wally world, but the mechanics were very busy and it would be two hours before the saw my car. I had to be in the state capital the next to take the PCAT, so my parents came and took me, then we jumped my car again and took it to Advanced who declared my battery to be fried. So, I got a new one, and a week later it was dead again. So now, my car is in my home town so the mechanics who usually work on my family's cars can find the short. I also need to get the stripped stud replaced- my tire almost falling off and needing to replace the whole thing once is enough.

I drive a 95 Buick LeSabre. It's a boat, but it's a great car. Unfortunately, it's two-toned because I messed up the truck and got a replacement from a junkyard. So the car is gold, but the trunk is blue. But that will be fixed before too long.
