Well, the Diniverse Luthor did end up in some warehouses... But then, his run for President was... um... a spoiler detail for people who haven't watched the series. :)

And the Maggin Luthor didn't need no stinkin Presidency or even a public persona other than his noteriety (which he enjoyed). He preferred the challenge of running his empire under the noses of everyone (especially Superman) with maximally complex charades that only he could keep up with]As far as superspeedsters go,in DC comics all superspeedsters are confined by the limits of the Speed Force. They did an entire story arch of The Flash that showed what happened when Wally was able to break the limit.[/QUOTE]

I remember that story arc happening, and was curious, but never got around to reading it.

Did they ever resolve the missing plot element of Barry Allen's death and Wally West's history prior to the Crisis events? (I know there was a recent attempt to retcon the whole DC continuity again, going back to Crisis on Infinite Earths, but haven't heard if this was resolved. In fact I don't know what exactly was resolved with that, other than the continuity jumped forward a whole year subsequently, which is supposed to be filled in during the 52 Weeks maxi-series later. Kind of like jumping from Attack of the Clones to A New Hope and then going back to Revenge of the Sith after Empire Strikes Back...)

Hands down, ozymandias from Watchmen.

If I recall Barry ended up traveling into the future. My favorite storyline in Flash was the one where the mayor of Central City tells him he has to go and he ends up
in this city in California that really wants the Flash and there's all this hype.
Back on topic:I think my favorite Flash Rogues Gallery Villian would probably be
The Trickster.

That should've been in a spoiler border. You don't learn that till about the final chapter or so.

We addressed that earlier in this thread when I listed him, actually (posts #8-10). I still agree with what I said there, though if enough people object I can change the thread to reflect this.

I thought it was great when Mark Hamill got the job as the Joker's voice based partly on his one or two eps as the Trickster in the live-action Flash series--and then they asked him to do the Trickster for a special Flash-centric ep of JLU! (But the best of all was how Flash handled him in that ep--Christian charity all up and down. {beam!})

For those of us who remember the 1960s Cesar Romero WAS the Joker.Jack Nicholson came close in the Tim Burton movie but Cesar Romero was the definitive
Joker.

Lex also has an heroic parallel version of himself. The heroic Lex existed in the world(one of those destroyed during CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS)where the supervillian parallel versions of DC's great superheroes also resided(Owl Man=
Batman,Power Ring=Green Lantern,Ultraman=Superman,etc.).Ironically the supervillian versions of Earth 1's superheroes all died heroically trying to save their planet from destruction.(Ultraman not to be confused with the Japanese
character of the same name.)
btw:Earth Prime(i.e."our" Earth) was also destroyed and the sole survivor was
Earth Prime Superboy...so anyone feel a bit dead yet?

As I recall, the son of the heroic Lex survived the CoIE with Superman from Earth 1 (who came back in the Infinite Crisis miniseries recently?), Lois from Earth 1, and Earth Prime's Superboy. (When did we get a Superboy...? {g})

To which I could add a spoiler detail I've heard from the (now completed) Infinite Crisis series (not to be confused with CoIE from the 80s), which to me tends to be a bit derivative of not only Moore's Miracleman series but also DC's own Hal Jordan storyline. But that probably counts as too much info already... {g}

And yes, the Joker counts as a supervillain as much as Batman or Luthor, despite not having superpowers per se. (i.e. he's a colorful comic-book villain who does things more, um, colorfully than normal villains do.)

Isn't Heath Ledger slated to do the laughing in the next Batman movie? (I wonder if he'll grow a mustache and then refuse to shave it, like Romero did... )

Ok for me, Magneto is the best as far as a well thought out character. I mean really, he's one of the only villians who aren't just after world domination/ mass riches for the sake of greed alone. He survived the Holocaust! one of the worst events in human history that occured because of ignorance and bigotry. then, as Mutants start becoming the topic of political debate, he sees the same signs he did before WWII. He isn't trying to wage war against humanity because of greed or bigotry, he does it because he knows that humans will try to irradicate Mutant kind if he and the other mutants don't do something first. He may be a villian, but wow does he have a magnificant background history.

Well not a supervillian per se the Sheriff of Nottingham could be included as being the first real villian in literature.
