Unity Of The Spirit

"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."
Ephesians 4:3

A professor one day demonstrated to his class the power of an electro-magnet. He placed 2 lbs. of nails on a table with the wires of an electo-magnet under the table. When he flipped the switch, the nails came together and he was able to form the nails into various shapes as long as the current was on. When the current was cut, the nails fell back into a pile. It's a reminder to us that as long as the current of God, the Holy Spirit, runs through us, we have unity and God can form us into any shape He choses for His purposes.

Prayer: Ask the Holy Spirit to be sensitive to your relationship with others, that your relationship with Him will make you an effective servant.

"Men are God's method. The church is looking for better methods; God is looking for better men. What the church needs today is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men who the Holy Spirit can use - men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Spirit does not come on machinery but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men - men of prayer."
