This Week In Anime (4/10-4/16)

Postby Saint Kevin » Sat Apr 10, 2004 7:31 pm

^that's an awesome idea, and I know it'll be a great help to many. It only sucks for me because I don't get any of those channels!!!! (Stupid hick-town cable!) It only serves to remind me how limited my anime resources are... :sniffle:

But anyway...
Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls the Shadow

For Thine is the Kingdom

Between the conception
And the creation
Between the emotion
And the response
Falls the Shadow

Life is very long

Between the desire
And the spasm
Between the potency
And the existence
Between the essence
And the descent
Falls the Shadow

For Thine is the Kingdom

For Thine is
Life is
For Thine is the

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but with a whimper.

I feel sorry for you. I guess I won't take my comcast for granted. Used to be that on TCI, I never got any anime except for Cartoon Network. Oops, I just noticed that I didn't put any of the Toonami shows on the schedule. I guess I have until monday to update it.

Neat idea. Thanks for the info. Now I just have to figure out how to get my vcr to tape so I can watch them at a more reasonable episode.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Yeah, ditto. I used to lose a ton of sleep trying to stay up late, never wanting to miss an episode, then I kinda just gave up on the whole idea. Maybe if I do this with any consistency (This Week In Anime), I'll finally know what to tape and I can program my vcr.
