*looks around to see if someone started this first. coast seems clear?*

Okay, so I'm going to try to keep up with the new Last Exile coming out. I'm watching via hulu.

Step forth comrades! Who's with me?!

Just for heads up:
From the get-go, this looks alot like Last Exile, but if you're expecting Clause to step out of the vanship, guess again - This is not Last Exile. I'm not giving up hope though, even after the opening scene (that's a heads up) or even after the strange amount of blood in the op.

Hey dude! I'm following Last Exile: Fam the Silver Wing on Hulu too. I've watched all the way up to episode 4 which is the most recent released on Hulu and I'm subscribed so I'll be watching episodes as they come out. So far its an awesome anime and I've fallen in love with the world and characters of LE all over again.
Some good points so far: Dio is not dead! as they lead us to believe in the first season. He is flying the only vanship to look anything like a vanship from the first season... and he's freakin awesome.

OK, so to help with some of the confusion... the setting is not on the same planet as Last Exile. Wikipedia says they're on earth... though its not like any earth we've ever seen. You could say the cultures look more sophisticated versions of those in the first season.
The setting is two years after the events of the first season. Also on earth, there are recurring secondary characters from the first season as seem even more important in the second. Dio for instance. There is another... uhm... shall we say group? who are very important... but I don't want to spoil that for anyone who hasn't seen ep 4 yet. I'm really excited about it though!
Down side... Dio is the only dude so far... so my thinking is romantic possibilities are slim. :/
Anyone else have any thoughts?

Yeah, it doesn't seem like earth at all.
What's weird:
The leader of the enemy is Augusta (?), a young girl looking to restore things.
or at least that's what I got early on.

I don't want romance. And Dio has a really high-pitched voice for being a guy, but he sounds peculiar in the dub of the first season anyways.

Yeah, let's not spoil things.

btw,
Glad to see someone else is enjoying this as much as I am!

LOL Alright alright... I agree, throwing romance in would, at this point, really spoil the story. Unless they could get some really strong male hero, I'm not seeing it happen... Dio... uhm... no. lol But I'm satisfied with the duel romance resolve at the end of the first season. That was good.
From what I read in the Wiki article, I don't think things are quite as they appear. The obvious protagonist... well I'm not fully convinced he's a bad guy. We'll have to see though, I don't like his servant though. :/

I'll be watching this soon, but I have Tenchi Muyo GXP cued up first. Unless they take it down by then, and then I'll jump right to this show.

I just finished episode five of Last Exile.
I can't say that I'm happy with the princess trying to take over the Silvia. The ships original captain would have not had it.
Still, it was a pretty good episode. I'm glad Fam and her crew finally figured out Dio is more than he lets on.
