Okay guys, another discussion thread about an anime that I discovered a few weeks ago. The show is called, of course, "Sket Dance", and its one of the more interesting shows I've come across this season.

The show, based on a manga of the same name by Kenta Shinohara, follows three students in a a club called Sket Dance (Sket being an acronym for Support, Kindness, Encouragement, and Troubleshoot). As their name suggests, the Sket Dance main goal is to be a support team for the student body, providing assistance of any kind to anyone who needs their help. Leading the group is the energetic, cap-n-goggles wearing Yusuke Fujisaki, hereafter known as "Bossun". He's a pretty capable leader who is prone to bursts of surprising intelligence simply by putting on his goggles which causes him to enter a "Concentration mode". Joining him is Hime Onizuka, hereafter known as "Onihime", the hockey-stick wielding strong arm of the club with a strange affinity for weird flavored lollipops. Rounding out the trio is Kazuyoshi Usui, hereafter known as "Switch", who is the intelligence behind the "Sket Dance", having a database that contains information on every student in the school at his fingertips. For mysterious reasons, Switch does not actually speak, opting to let his ever-present laptop computer be his synthesized voice.

And so the series follows Bossun, Onihime and Switch as they provide support of all kinds for their school while trying to avoid the ire of the Student Council who's main goal is to maintain order which the Sket Dance seemingly lacks during some of their missions.

I found this show very entertaining and a joy to watch. It's very funny, the action in it is nice, and some of the missions play like good mystery stories which honestly leaves me smacking my forehead saying "REALLY?! That was the bad guy?!"

So...as the thread suggests, let's discuss this awesome series!

I've actually been watching this since it started. It's a pretty decent show overall even if the quality tends to vary somewhat depending on the episode. The character background arcs in particular are really well-done.

I don't think it's the kind of show that lends itself very well to discussion though.

Sounds like some wacky fun, I'll have to look into it.

Is there any content worth mentioning?

I've been watching it since the start, it's one of my favourite animes of 2011. Although the Gintama crossovers were a little weird.

2 episodes in, great fun.

I'm watching it as a 'let's watch' with my sisters so it's going slowly.

If nobody minds I may turn this into a 1(ish) episode a week 'let's watch' thread.
